APRIL 2019 – VUALTO have announced API integration between the Secure Packager and Encoder Key Exchange (SPEKE) API and VUALTO’s VUDRM digital rights management.
The SPEKE specification defines the standard for communication between encryptors and packagers of media content and digital rights management (DRM) key providers. The specification accommodates encryptors running on-premises and on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Integration with the SPEKE API allows broadcasters and content owners to apply VUALTO’s VUDRM (multi-DRM protection) to content generated using any SPEKE-enabled encoders, transcoders, and packagers for cloud-based, on-premises, and hybrid media workflows.
VUDRM from VUALTO allows you to securely deliver live and VOD content to your chosen audiences, across multiple devices. VUDRM enables you to stay in control of who watches your content and when. Using VUALTO’s flexible token generation, you can dynamically issue individual user permissions for one piece of content, with no need for re-encryption. Device agnostic and with support for Microsoft PlayReady, Google Widevine, Apple FairPlay Streaming, and Adobe Primetime, VUALTO’s VUDRM solutions are trusted by broadcasters globally.
VUALTO customers benefit from faster time to market and the ability to use VUDRM with any SPEKE-enabled video processing and delivery product.
“The SPEKE API helps VUDRM customers to use our VUDRM key provision service for their on-premises video workflows, cloud-based workflows, and to transition from on-premises to the cloud when it makes the most sense for them, all without having to change vendors or wait for a new integration.”
Robert Mitchell, VUALTO Technical Architect – DRM.
